Lake Lenexa

Lake Lenexa is a manmade impoundment that covers nearly 35 acres within 240 acres of parkland that includes preserved woods and streams.  The lake helps to manage stormwater runoff, reducing floods and improving water quality entering the Mill Creek watershed. The dam and spillway release water into three wetlands that retain water and improve water quality. As part of the City of Lenexa’s Rain to Recreation program, the park has trails, docks and a boat ramp, picnic areas, boardwalks and access to water’s edge for fishing. City of Lenexa fact sheet
