Ramp is on the east side of the parking lot, open 24/ 7. Access ramp is 30 feet wide with a 15-degree slope built in 1997. This park is patrolled regularly by park rangers. Ramp is tooled for better surface grip and is wide enough to accommodate two cars side by side. You will launch into Cedar Creek and paddle 200 yards to the Kaw. Cedar Creek may flash flood during heavy rains.

Float Info:
The next access is 9.5 miles downstream at Edwardsville River Access Park. First access upstream is De Soto City Park Access Ramp at river mile 31.3.

When taking out at the Cedar Creek Access ramp notice from the map above that Cedar Creek is at the bottom of a hair pin curve of the Kansas River.  The map does not show the first entrance to Cedar Creek which is on the southwest corner of the hair pin curve.  There is a small channel that has cut in here to Cedar Creek and it is important to remember that when this channel comes to a intersection with Cedar Creek be sure to turn left.  It is a short paddle up Cedar Creek to the ramp.  If you miss the first entrance to Cedar Creek you can enter where the map above shows (on the southeast corner of the hair pin curve.)  You will pass the small channel mentioned above.  The first entrance to Cedar Creek is the easiest to use except in low water - as you approach the hair pin curve be sure to move to river right when depth allows.
