The Kansas River Water Trail was officially signed into the National Water Trail system by Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in front of the Flint Hills Discovery Center in Manhattan, Kansas.  This was a red letter day for Friends of the Kaw as our goal of making the Kaw a 170 mile linear park was realized.
