Don't miss the DISCOVER A WATERSHED EDUCATION WORKSHOP and FLOATING FIELD EXPERIENCE sponsored by KACEE and FOK on April 29 & 30 in De Soto, KS.

This workshop is open to all educators working with children K - grade 12, including teachers, 4-H & scout leaders, camp counselors, youth coordinators, zoo & park staff, naturalists, etc.

• Two full days of professional development, with option to earn 1 hour of graduate credit (additional $55)

• Educator workshop on Day 1 includes Project WET, Project WILD Aquatic, Discover a Watershed & Leopold Education Project

• Guided canoe Float Trip on Day 2 with Friends of the Kaw, includes field study activities & investigations

• Experience several of the hundreds of hands-on activities from the activity guides you will receive

• Learn about local efforts to protect and restore watershed health, and how to integrate natural resource, conservation & environmental education into your curriculum and programs with ease

• Receive tools to help engage your school in Kansas Green Schools projects such as energy conservation, recycling, water quality, air quality, and more!

• Registration Fee is $30.00 (includes books, snacks, drinks, lunch, materials, training, & canoe rental). Graduate credit is optional and is not included in the registration fee. Course enrollment forms and the $55.00 tuition will be accepted on day 1 of the workshop.
