Friends of the Kaw is funded by membership contributions, special events and grants. We sincerely thank all those individuals who generously support our advocacy efforts to protect and preserve the Kansas River.
Grants gratefully received by Friends of the Kaw NOTE: Friends of the Kaw only applies for grants that will allow us to work towards our mission of protecting and preserving the Kaw. While we are very fortunate to receive these funds for specific projects, we still very much need community support for our organization through memberships and donations. Membership dues and donations are needed so we can continue to investigate pollution reports, turn in evidence of pollution to the appropriate agencies, mediate solutions and if all else fails file a law suit. 2013 Patagonia, Ventura, CA - $9,500 to continue our efforts to end in-river sand and gravel mining in the Kansas River.
